Shoestring Cowboy began in Albuquerque, NM around summer 1999, as Mike, aka. Officer Cid the Assassin began to branch out from the electronic/indie rock stylings of his band "Miraclefish". At that
time, he was running samples, electronic drums, and synth tracks for the band. But it was only a matter of time before the electronic music revolution would take over his mind and body, creating Shoestring Cowboy. As
more gear began accumulating in his home studio, and the ideas and insprations of Miraclefish members continued to clash, Miraclefish was dead. But Shoestring Cowboy was alive and well, and still is. Now, Shoestring Cowboy is based in LA, and with talent
beginning to emerge in other places than just Mike, Shoestring Cowboy has many guest members on the mic and other instruments. |
